Norman Harrison Memorial Trophy & Plate

One of the highlights of our bowling season took place yesterday, The Norman Harrison Memorial Trophy and Plate. We were blessed with beautiful weather and some wonderful bowling. A big thank you to all of you lovely people who are always there, working away in the background selflessly, we couldn’t do it without you.

The final of the Norman Harrison Memorial Trophy was won by Brian Wheatman, with Dennis Micklefield a worthy runner-up. Trophy presented by Marion Wheatman.

The final of the Norman Harrison Plate was won by David Moon, with Audrey Heppenstall the runner-up. You can almost feel the competitiveness of the match from the photograph.

C.C.B.A. club competition

Well done to all those who played at John Whitehead Park tonight. It was always going to be difficult, especially on the all-weather green, but we done ourselves proud, even though we didn’t win. Never mind, there’s always next year. A big thank you also, to those members who took the time to come along and support us.

Eric Wilson Memorial Trophy

Congratulations to Debra Hart & Brian Wheatman, winners of the Eric Wilson Trophy. A big well done to the other finalists John Hart & Pam Brown. It was a great day, with some marvellous bowling, lovely weather, good food & brilliant company. A big thank you to Les Overton who organised it all, then re-organised it & re-organised it yet again. Also, our grateful thanks to those wonderful ladies, who appear out of nowhere and work tirelessly in the background, making it all such a success.WINNERS - Eric Wilson Trophy, 2017The worthy winners – Brian Wheatman & Debra HartRUNNERS-UP, Eric Wilson Trophy, 2017The gallant runners-up – John Hart & Pam Brown. Friendly match

As there is a blank date in the Saturday league fixtures this week, Synthonia Hornets & Synthonia Wasps have decided to meet up for a “friendly” match. The match will start as usual at 1:30pm. Although we normally play two rinks of four, we hope to play three rinks or possibly two rinks and a triples. Please turn up, because we intend to play as many people as turn up on the day. Hope to see loads of you there.POSTER - Hornets v Wasps
